He is currently the CEO and CTO of SpaceX, the CEO of Tesla, and the chairman of the board of directors of SolarCity. Musk is a genius entrepreneurial adventurer. It is said that "Iron Man" is based on his story. Downey, who plays Stark, the inventor in the movie, suggested to the director that it's best to talk to Musk for a good role. Musk's life is Stark's real life.

Elon Musk graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a double degree in economics and physics. From 1995 to 2000, Elon Musk and partners founded three companies, namely online content publishing software "Zip2", electronic payment "", and international trade payment tool "PayPal". In June 2002, Elon Musk invested $ 100 million in founding American Space Exploration Technology Corporation (SPACE X) as CEO and Chief Technology Officer. In 2004, Elon Musk invested $ 6.3 million in Tesla Motors as its chairman. In 2006, Elon Musk invested $ 10 million and co-founded Solar City, a photovoltaic power generation company.

On May 31, 2012, the "Dragon" capsule of SpaceX, a Musk company, successfully docked with the International Space Station and returned to Earth, opening the era of private operation of space transportation. On November 21, 2013, the well-known American financial magazine "Fortune" announced the "2013 Business Person of the Year", and Tesla Motors CEO Musk topped the list. On September 22, 2016, Bloomberg ranked the world's 50 most influential people, and Elon Musk ranked 11th. On December 14, 2016, he was awarded the "2016 Most Influential CEO" honor. On December 4, 2017, Elon Musk ranked 43rd in the Bloomberg Business Week's 2017 Global 50 Most Influential People List.

Elon Musk is far less chic than Iron Man. Musk is not only a technology fanatic, but also a workaholic. He works more than 100 hours a week. He was extremely busy, often lying down at 3 o'clock in the night, and rushed to a meeting the next morning, and flew to another city in the evening to participate in activities, and took time to accompany five sons to play. In an interview, he specifically clarified that his original intention of doing SpaceX was not the childhood complex that some people took for granted, nor was it because of its high return on investment, but that it was beneficial to the future of humanity.
