Since then he has been imprisoned in 18 prisons in 13 counties across Guangxi. For 13 months, he was devastated and tortured. He was not able to eat and drink, his teeth fell off, his hair was gray, and his face was awkward. He wrote more than one hundred poems and later published it in "Prison Diary" on September 10, 1943 from Liuzhou. The prison was released and immediately contacted with the local Vietnamese nationalist national salvation organizations. At the same time, he resumed contact with the party and returned to the country to continue to lead the revolution.

Hu Zhiming pointed out in time that the conditions for the total uprising have matured. According to Ho Chi Minh’s suggestion, the National Conference of the Party, held on August 13-15, was held in the new wave of Xuanguang Province and decided to immediately launch the national total uprising. Under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese people triumphantly launched the August Revolution and liberated the entire country of Vietnam. On September 2, 1945, at the mass rally of 500,000 people in Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh read the "Declaration of Independence" on behalf of the interim government and solemnly declared the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. After the national general election, the first Congress of Vietnam held in March 1946 unanimously elected Ho Chi Minh as the chairman and prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

From 1945 to 1954, as the leader of the Vietnamese party and government, Ho Chi Minh led the Vietnamese people to fight for the defense of the revolutionary regime and achieved a great victory in the war against the law.
