Yang Zhenning, born on October 1, 1922 in Hefei, Anhui Province, is a world-renowned physicist. In the 1950s, he cooperated with RL Mills to propose a non-Abelian gauge field theory; in 1956, he co-operated with Li Zhengdao to propose a non-conservative law in the weak interaction; he did a lot of pioneering work in particle physics and statistical physics, and proposed Yang. - Baxter equation, opening up new directions for quantum integrable systems and multi-body problem research.
